A People’s Guide to the University of Oregon is a tour guide, research group and archival collective that illuminates how power operates spatially at the U of O. Led by student organizers, the project is supported by the UO Radical Organizing and Activism Resource (ROAR) Center and draws inspiration from A People’s Guide international geography project. We look to places in Eugene, Oregon where people have confronted, challenged, won and lost their battles with oppression – often transforming the landscape in their wake. We hope that, armed with our work, students and others can learn more about how power works here and their place within the struggle.
